The other day a couple of us had to drive to pick up some rabbits for the wolves as we had run out of food. So we set off, listening to great radio music along the way. We got there a little earlier than the person with the rabbits, so the man invited us into his home and relayed stories about the great herding dogs who protect the sheep from wolves and bears (I have one of those, a briard!). then the man arrived with the rabbits so we set off again with 133 fluffy white rabbits in the back of the amarok!
It was already dark when we left, so by the time we got back to feed the wolves we couldn’t tell where they were, especially the black ones! Luckily everyone got one each!
Then we had to drive the rest up to the freezers! Like something out of dexter, stashing bodies in black backs and stowing them away into a dark room in a derelict building! Lots of cars kept driving past – I’m not sure what they thought! Life at the WSC is always interesting!
I hope everyone had a great Christmas and I look forward to the next year and all the things to come!
