Visits from School Kids

A lot of school classes did visit us in the last few days. It´s everytime amazing, how much the kids are interested in our tame wolves and how much they already know, when they come here. Of course everybody would like to stroke and pet them, but they understand that it`s not possible to touch the animals during a normal guided tour.

It´s still an overwhelming experience to get so close to a real wolf, to see, how excited they are when the trainers come into the enclosure and how much they like working and cuddling with their people. Not only the school kids are impressed by this.

Today also the youngest wolves, Kenai and Wapi, came to visit the bigger ones. Every second day they come up to the castle for some time. We do not let them in the enclosure where the adults live, they can meet and sniff and touch each other through the fence in front of our testing building. Especially Apache is really enthused by them, but Nanuk, Tatonga and the other Youngsters are also exalted when the babies are running around in front of them.
The older ones, Shima, Kaspar and Aragorn, are a bit more restrained. They already did see puppies one year ago, they even were living fence to fence for a long time.

If Wapi and Kenai will join Kaspar´s pack or if they will live together with the younger ones is not sure yet. For now, we hope that they will become friends with everyone.
