Taking a closer look at the enclosures these days might confuse a large number of visitors.
Huge piles of fur are lying on the ground. The former owner is not directly clear. Of course the first guess concerns our wolves. But still some doubts remain - and this for a good reason. Although most of our wolves already lost the major part of their winter fur, the piles in our enclosures belong to the sheep in the wild park. But don’t you worry the sheep are fit and well. They are most probably enjoying a cool breeze right now. Due to the hot temperatures all the animals in the park are happy to enjoy the shade and to get rid of their warm fur. This is why, although our animals love working with us, it sometimes is a bit harder to get them motivated especially in the middle of the day and breaks are really welcome. Still this is without a doubt also true for us humans.
