These days a lovely sun gave us a bit of a taster about what spring is going to be. Slowly, but surely all the snow is melting from the roofs and meadows. Our dogs and wolves love it, but for us humans it means a lot more work, because we have to keep everything tidy, so we force eachother to clean every dog's paws before returning into our house.
The new animal trainers did arrive this weekend. Andrea and Paul will support the team from now on. Hopefully they´ll find a nice place to live nearby, soon. So far they spent a lot of time in and around the enclosure, so our very shy wolves will get familiar with them quite soon. Also, they started to train the dog puppies. The small ones are making progresses, but they still enjoy playing together in their garden much more.
There were a lot of people coming around the WSC these days, new trainees and well-known guests came to visit.
Wolves have their breeding time in the late winter, which is almost over now, so the pack is becoming more even tempered again.
Little Tatonga learned about what it feels like to be in heat, for the first time this year, and that puzzled the whole pack quite a lot. Now this difficult time is over without any severities and everything is going on as usual.
We don´t have offspring this year, the wolves are too young. And we have the dog pups, who take our attention as much as possible.
