Today I had to say goodbye to the wolves, the dogs and all the team of the WSC.
What a better way to say goodbye to the wolves than watch them feeding on a carcass. Kaspar was the first one on the food and guarded it for at least 15 min, after this time he started to share it with Apache, but Cherokee was not far away. Lying at 1 meter away from his two congener, Cherokee was crowling and trying hard to get something of the food. After a while, he succeded and shared the carcasse with his brother and Kaspar.
The wolves pups, them had a peacefull day, they played a lot and chewed on deer legs for hours. They will continue to grow very fast and I look forward to come in view weeks for visit to see them again. I guess that by this time the dogs and the wolf pups will be in their new enclosure in the Wild Park and that the team would have moved to the Villa. I really look forward to see all these changes.
I collected all my data for my master thesis about agonistic behavior in wolves and dogs and hope to have interesting results. I will let you know at my next visit.
For now I leave the animals in good hands and wish all the best to the WSC and to the friends I made there, I will miss you.
