My name is Séverine Matthey-Doret and I was here to observe the aggressive behavior of the wolves from September to December. Now I’m back to observe the aggressive behavior of the dog pups. I met them yesterday, and they greeted me like I always knew them. They are really cute, Rafiki and Alika, brother and sister, look similar, but Alika is much more smaller and very dominant to the other… It’s the only girl so I can understand it! Maisha and Kilio, the two brothers, are more different, Maisha likes to jump on you and eat your hair… Funny one! Kilio is shyer but he came to have a nap on my lap so the contact was made too. Today all of them went on the scale to see their weight, and Alika is still the lightest and the smallest, she is only about 7kg and Kilio is the heaviest, he is 11,5kg. I really look forward to see how they will react with eachother when we will give the big piece of meat to share.

I saw the wolves too, Yukon recognized me for sure, she came to the fence and asked for scratches, the other I’m not sure how they understood who I am, we will see in the next few days. All I can say is that they became huge, it’s really impressive to see how they grow up, they really have adult faces now and are no longer our little pups.
