News from Bashira:
Bashira is the smallest, but also the loudest. Visitors and strange dogs get a loud bark as greeting from her. Originally our plan was to have hip-high dogs at the WSC for a good comparison with the Wolves. A glimpse at Bashira shows: this was not entirely successful. But it’s hard to predict how big a ten-day-old mixed puppy will be when it has grown up. There seems to be a special friendship connection between Bashira and our trainer Alex. The tiny dog and the two-meter tall man make a good picture together!
Bashira as a youngster:
As a baby and still now, she looks like a toydog, soft and very cute. She is looking at you with her warm brown eyes in a way that you would give her everything she wants, and she is barking in a very thin voice, that can easily go on your nerves..
She was always the first to go to bed and cuddled up very very close to your body to get as much warmth as she can. The reason for that can surely be because she spends so much energy during the day with nerving her bigger brothers. The meaning of her name is: educated. We can say it refers to her intelligence, she is a really smart girl. In the touchscreen, she is almost as good as her brother Hakima. The way how she exploits Meru and Tana is also a sign of intelligence: she is sleeping between (or on) them all the time because they have the thickest fur (see the pictures).
