Our wolves are not only well-socialized and accustomed to visitors, but they also used to being photographed and filmed since their puppy age. Usually they show themselves from their best side!
In summer, we sometimes have puppies and the adult animals are in their summer fur. In fall, the wolves have grown their showy winter fur and the grown-up pups increase the size of the pack. Most dates will be scheduled during the week or when the Park is closed so participants will have the wolf packs all to themselves!
09:00 a.m.: Welcome by Employees of the Wolf Science Center
09:15 a.m.: Seminar about the behavior of wolves and how to behave in a pack
10:00 a.m.: Visiting wolf puppies (if we have any). Here you have the first opportunity to meet the wolves and take photographs of these cute – wanting to be – wolves! On the side, you will learn about the biology of wolves and our research at the Wolf Science Center. The visit of the puppies is of course only possible in the summer when we have puppies! In the winter, the program will be moved up and one hour shorter.
11:00 a.m.: Visit of the first adult pack. Now you have the opportunity to look adult wolves into the eye and take photographs close up.
Noon: Lunch break – it is possible to have lunch in one of the restaurants in Ernstbrunn or if you bring your own lunch, to eat it in our seminarroom. Afterwards you have the opportunity to explore the game park on your own for 2 hours.
3 p.m.: The second possibility to see the wolves in action. This time, we will visit the second pack.
4 p.m.: Feeding of the wolves. Here you can take photographs of the social behavior of wolves during feeding, but this time from the other side of the fence.
5 p.m.: End of the Photo shoot
Since you will be in direct contact with the wolves, changes in the program will be possible depending on the state of the animals. Depending on light conditions, we might also prolong the program one hour.
Prerequisite: No fear of wolves and at least 18 years of age. Of course, participants should know how to use their camera.
All commercial use of photographs taken has to be agreed with the WSC.
The fotoshoot will be carried out indepedent of the weather. Please wear good shoes, no short pans and no skirts please.
Costs: 340 Euro incl. entrance fee but without food/drinks (mind. 5, max. 10 participants)
Place: Wolf Science Center, Wildpark Ernstbrunn, 2115 Ernstbrunn
