Adopt a Scientific Project

Two wolves cooperate on a scientific task

By adopting a scientific project, you support research to understand the social and physical knowledge of wolves, you help a student or a young researcher to join this research project, and also help the wolves by keeping them occupied with behavioral tests.

In order to conduct research professionally and efficiently, one needs

  • materials (from wood to high-tech)
  • a good infrastructure and
  • financial support for the researcher (e.g. 3 months for a MSc or PhD student costs approx. € 3.000,- - for a postdoc approx. € 5.200,-).

According to the scientific question and the experimental set-up, this amounts to

  • Small projects: full adoption ca. € 5.000,- (1 student for 3 months + equipment) or
  • Large projects: full adoption ca. € 20.000,-.

It is also possible to share the adoption with friends or other Pack Members.

If you fully adopt a scientific project, you will be invited to come and experience spot-on one experimental session of the project you support.
If you partly adopt a scientific project, we will try but cannot guarantee such an experience.
Moreover, the researcher in charge of the project will keep you updated via email about the progression of the experiment - if you wish.

During the time of the adoption your or your company's name and logo will be prominently displayed on our webpage. Furthermore you will be acknowledged on scientific papers and presentations, if you wish.
Having adopted a scientific project you will additionaly be a member of the pack, i.e. of the Wolf Science Center.

If you are interested in adopting a scientific project, please contact us for current projects and further information.
