How to handle the pages of this website
We think that access to information is an essential human right and have tried to make this website as accessible as possible.
Please contact us if you have any trouble or find mistakes.
Keyboard navigation
To facilitate navigation with the keyboard and skip to main sections of a page directly, we have installed the following shortcuts:
- Jump to the content: 0 (Null)
- Jump to the main menu: 1
- Jump to the submenu: 2
- Jump to the additional informations (contact, help …): 3
Here is an (incomplete) list, how you can use those shortcuts in your browser:
- Linux and Windows: generally [ Alt ] + shortcut
- Mac: generally [ Ctrl ] + shortcut
- Internet Explorer 6+: press [ Alt ] + shortcut, release keys and [ Enter ]
- Firefox 2.0+: [ Alt ] + [ Shift ] + shortcut
- Opera: press the [ Shift ] + [ Esc ], release keys and press the shortcut key
- Konqueror: press [ Ctrl ], release keys and press the shortcut key
Page structure
To facilitate navigation for users of screenreaders and text browsers witch supply the appropriate functions, every page follows the following structure:
- In the head of the page you find a link to change the language of the current page and the links to skip to main sections of the page.
- Below you find the main menu.
- Following you find the content of the page.
- The position indicator is the first information in the content section.
- Directly below it the main content begins with a <h1>-heading.
- The subpoints of the current content are marked with <h2>-headings.
- The last <h2>-heading marks the submenu and says "More information in the section …".
- The submenu points consist of a <h3>-heading, a short text on what you can expect on this page, and the link.
- Following the submenu you find short suggestions, on how you can participate in the research at the Wolf Science Center with the appropriate links.
- In the footer our sponsors and the links to the informations about this wensite are listed.
