2012 American Psychological Association (APA) Distinguished Scientific Award for Early Career Contribution to Psychology in the area of animal learning and behavior, comparative to Friederike Range.
Dr. Friederike Range, senior scientist at the University of Veterinary Medicien Vienna and one of the founders of the "Clever Dog Lab" Vienna und of the "Wolf Science Center" Ernstbrunn was awarded the "2012 American Psychological Association (APA) Distinguished Scientific Award for Early Career Contribution to Psychology in the area of animal learning and behavior, comparative". Thereby, Friederike enters a "star league" in psychology. Among the awardees before her were, for example, S. Pinker and N. Chomsky.
We are immensely proud and happy and sure that some of the Friederikes glamour will also shine at those institutions she was working with before, Teh University of Vienna, the Konrad Lorenz Research Center in Grünau, the University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna, the Clever Dog lab and the Wolf Science Center at Ernstbrunn.

Dr. Friederike Range has been selected as one of the recipients of the 2012 American Psychological Association (APA) Distinguished Scientific Award for Early Career Contribution to Psychology in the area of animal learning and behavior, comparative. The Committee on Scientific Awards declared a tie for the Early Career Award in this area. You will share the award with Laurie Santos, PhD, who is at Yale University. As the history of this award indicates, it is an outstanding accolade for scientific achievement.
The awards ceremony will be held at the APA Convention in Orlando, Florida, August 2-5, 2012. Dr Range is also invited to attend the annual reception hosted by the Board of Scientific Affairs (BSA) and the Science Directorate. In addition, you may have an opportunity to serve as chair and introduce one of the 2012 recipients of the Distinguished Scientific Contribution Award at their awards address or introduce one of the 2012 Master Lecturers.
