As it is often the case first come the work and then there is time for fun. That’s the same for your wolves and …
I am studying Biology with the main subject Zoology at the University of Vienna.
The topic of my diploma thesis was social learning in common marmosets (Callithrix jacchus). I conducted the thesis under the supervision of Dr. Ludwig Huber and Dr. Friederike Range and finished it in July 2007.
After the final exam I got the opportunity to work with free-living common marmosets in a three-month project in the Atlantic Forest in Brazil. This reasearch work about transmission of social information and formation of traditions represents the basis for my PhD work, which I will start in few months.
Currently I am working at the Department of Neurobiology and Cognition Research. I am responsible for the coordination of the monkey laboratory and the project management of the cognition group.
Beside my study I am interested in the relationship between humans and dogs.
In addition to a completed correspondence course about animal psychology (focus on dogs) and a dogtrainer education (supervisors: Turid Rugaas and Anne Lill Kvam), I am visiting several seminars to constantly improve my knowledge about this topic.
