Jump directly to the commandos

We work for several reasons with "commands" (= execution of a certain movement/Posing on a mixture of an sonic signal and body language of a person, usually rewarded with a "goody"; we operate solely with positive enhancement).

Commands are an important base in the daily task accomplishment, essentiell for the welfare of the animals and a large part of the cooperation between the animal and the trainer. Thus the animals know without being physically affected what we want from them.

This yields a training program, which can be extended by new commands if required. The animals are challenged and have fun. As reward to each successfully executed command they get a treat.

Having an injection? No problem!

Veterinary medical importance: The commands listed here are a daily routine for our animals. If an animal has to quickly examined we  mostly can - due to this training - spare the anaesthesia.

Collective work

The training program fulfills deeper purposes as well: thus the relationship between the animal and the trainer is strenghthened by working together. In moments of uncertainty  the familiar commands provide assurance, ot knows what to do and calms down quickly.

English commands, because the wolves come from America?

Faculty of speech, but not the definite language is a genetic disposition.  And that also just in man. We give the commands in english, because we are an international team and english is our working language. In fact the wolves as well as the dogs follow the body language at least as strong as the sonic signal.
